In the 1960s the Archie Comics line decided to break away from the usual group of happy-go-lucky s and created ARCHIE'S MAD HOUSE – wacky, zany, goofy, oddball and strange stories, comedy is the silliest vein. Whether it is the far-flung future of 1985 (Wow! Flying Cars!), the adventures of then-barely;known Sabrina, or parodies of some of the 60s most popular shows and characters, these were top-notch comic-comics. Somehow, while putting out these great issues, the company forgot one very important thing: copyright. During that era, if a comics was published with out a copyright notice and not registered with the U.S. Copyright office, they were automatically public domain. Twenty-one issue of MAD HOUSE are public domain for that reason, and we're bringing them to you – seven at a time! GWANDANALAND COMICS(TM): We specialize in character collections – many for the first time in print; we also publish individual issues from the past as well as complete comic title series'. Our books are not digitally remastered; we use images from actual comics, and make only minor adjustments to bring out their best characteristics without losing the authentic feel – it is rarely perfect, but we believe it is exciting.
